The Oregon Employment Department, in partnership with WorkSource Oregon, is here to support you as our economy rebuilds and businesses reopen. We know that a lot of Oregonians are looking for jobs, exploring new training opportunities, or discovering a new career path. Our WorkSource Oregon staff can provide one-on-one help in your job search.

Important Dates You Need to Know

  • Saturday, June 19, 2021 - Deadline for the FIRST group of claimants to complete Customer Registration and iMatchSkills. We will notify claimants in waves to ensure you can get through to us with questions. Each claimant group will be notified of their deadline.
    • Watch for a letter from us because it’s important to know YOUR deadline. If you do NOT register by your deadline, you will receive a denial of benefits the following week. If you then register in iMatchSkills, the denial will be reversed and your benefits will be paid.

  • Sunday, July 25, 2021 through Saturday, July 31, 2021 - First week you are required to report your work-seeking activities on your weekly claim to receive benefits. You will be required to report your work-seeking activities for any week you want to receive benefits going forward.
    • You may also be selected to meet with a WorkSource Oregon staff, virtually or in-person, to complete a Welcome Conversation.
      • We will mail you a letter if you are selected for a Welcome Conversation.

      • If you are selected for a Welcome Conversation and do NOT complete the tasks by your assigned deadline, your benefits will be denied.

Here’s How You Start Meeting Requirements

  1. Register and complete your Job Seeker profile in iMatchSkills by Saturday, June 19. This will help us let you know about job openings that match your skills and career preferences. It’s also a way for employers to find you. You must complete both steps for your regular unemployment benefits to continue:

Step 1: Complete your registration. Provide some basic information about yourself.

Step 2: Create your Job Seeker profile in iMatchSkills®. This includes your work history and occupations you are seeking. This will help match you to job opportunities.

  1. **Currently Optional** Get in touch with WorkSource Oregon. Discover one of our most valuable services is the personalized help we can offer you, either virtually or in-person. We have dedicated WorkSource Oregon offices all over the state. Skilled staff are in touch with local employers, and can provide you with:

  • Job referrals
  • Workshops on interview preparation, resume writing, and computer skills
  • Career planning
  • Education and training opportunities
